I have a passion for capturing real life on camera. It’s the stories that shape us; from the awe of a new father, siblings playing together, or true love caught in a glance. I love it because real moments are special, rare, and much more difficult to capture.
Outside of photography, I love hockey, friends, and traveling. I was lucky enough to see all of Canada during my Skate 4 Life campaign (www.facebook.com/skate4life2012) but my greatest accomplishment so far is being a mother to my son, Ayden, who turns 2 this year.
Getting involved with BOOB was an easy decision for me. Regardless of which method we choose, breastmilk or formula, bottle or boob, mothers should always be supported and never shamed for their choices. I personally was afraid to be judged and criticized for breastfeeding in public when my son was born and I often avoided leaving the house. But with the help of local groups like BOOB, family, and peer support I eventually overcame my fears.
My life philosophy is all about taking chances by chasing your dreams and being the best you can be. Its all about having that fear, pushing your limits and living life to the fullest.
It is this philosophythat has lead me to share my passion as my career. My favourite part of being a professional photographer is meeting and working with wonderful families. I look forward to sharing your family’s story!
